Mike Gunton, Creative Director of the BBC Studios Natural History Unit, has more than four decades of experience making television programmes about our natural world. He has delivered award-winning series such as Africa, Planet Earth 2 and 3, The Green Planet, Dynasties, Prehistoric Planet and many more. The magical mix of extraordinary visuals, compelling storytelling and emotive character-driven drama means that millions of people around the world know more, and subsequently care more, about nature.

There is now a greater story to tell. How humanity is changing our planet, and what this means for all its inhabitants, including us. But how do you tell these stories with authenticity in a way that the audience feels inspired? In this talk, Mike will explain how he manages this delicate balance and the role of wildlife filmmakers in bringing these important issues to our screens.
