An extended case for Anaerobic Digestion: biomethane production is worth more than just gas
In this session hosted by the Anaerobic Digestion and Bioresources Association (ADBA), expert speakers will examine how biogas and anaerobic digestion (AD) contribute to energy production, waste management, and decarbonisation efforts.
Focussing on various aspects including energy security, recycling, nutrient recycling (with a particular emphasis on phosphorus), carbon savings, sustainability, agricultural benefits (such as pest management and soil health), and the circular economy, the session will aim to provide a balanced view of both the benefits and challenges in the field, incorporating relevant case studies or examples where possible to illustrate the points made.
