Unlike traditional XRF, which detects the presence and concentration of heavy metals but lacks imaging capabilities, the SGM XRF-T combines this with XRT to identify the shape and composition of individual metal pieces. This dual approach allows precise separation of aluminium, even when it contains heavy metal attachments.

Traditional XRF sorters often rely on cameras or 3D scanners that provide shape information without chemical composition details. The SGM XRF-T overcomes this by offering detailed imaging and full metal composition analysis. It excels in sorting aluminium, heavy metals, and various alloys, including brass, bronze, and stainless steel series.
