Cameron Leitch

Policy and Public Affairs Executive, British Metals Recycling Association

Cameron Leitch is BMRA’s Policy and Public Affairs Executive. Having completed a Master of Arts in Public Policy and Public Management, Cameron uses that academic background, alongside strong experience in the field to advise and assist the metals recycling sector, particularly on issues of policy and decarbonisation.

He is the Association’s sustainability lead, overseeing the launch of the Sustainability Hub, designed to enable BMRA members to reduce their operational emissions and enhance their sustainability credentials, includes a flagship sector-specific Carbon Calculator.

Cameron co-authored Tackling Metal Theft: A report by the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Metal, Stone and Heritage Crime, and is the Secretariat lead for the Young British Metal Recyclers (YBMR) initiative, which has seen its largest membership and has featured a host of interesting, and insightful trips and training targeted at those 40 and under in the industry.
