Cathy has been a member of the LARAC Executive since June 2020, and became Chair of LARAC in January 2022. Her role as LARAC Chair is to be the ‘leading voice’ for Local Authorities across the UK, and to provide information, support and advice and to lobby government on key issues.

Cathy has over 25 years of experience in Local Government, 17 of these within the waste sector, working both strategically and operationally.

Currently, Cathy works for ReLondon, supporting all of London’s waste authorities, the Greater London Authority (GLA) and other stakeholders to improve recycling within the capital, by offering policy advice, completing research and project managing pilot schemes.

Prior to starting work with ReLondon, Cathy held the post of Senior Recycling Officer at Rochford District Council in Essex and led the Council to becoming the top Recycling Authority in the UK.
