Chris Berryman
Chris has 20 years relevant experience in both academic research and consultancy. With a strong geo-environmental background Chris maintains a particular focus in the minerals and resource recovery sectors. He has extensive experience in business and capability growth strategy, as well as directing teams across complex and emerging regulated sectors including water, energy, industry and nuclear. Chris has significant experience on soil/aggregate materials management matters and led the research team who developed flagship CIRIA guidance (C809) on the sustainable management of surplus soil and aggregates from construction. He is a full Chartered member of a number of relevant organisations (Chartered Environmentalist and Chartered Waste and Resource Manager), a Fellow of the Institute of Quarrying, full Member of the British Soil Science Society and a Qualified Person under the CL:AIRE Definition of Waste Development Industry Code of Practice (DoWCoP). He also seeks to support a number of key industry working groups and advocates for knowledge sharing and mentoring across our industry as a route to improving compliance, encouraging best practice and achieving improved environmental and sustainability outcomes.
