Dimitra Rappou is the Executive Director of Sustainable Products at the Confederation of Paper Industries (CPI), where she champions sustainability within the paper and packaging industries. A professional with robust academic skills and a strong foundation in research, Dimitra brings a wealth of expertise in UK and European waste management policy and strategy.

Dimitra has extensive experience in recycling and recyclability, having led the last two revisions of the CPI Design for Recyclability Guidelines and spearheaded the development of Papercycle (a new comprehensive recyclability assessment tool to help determine the recyclability of fibre-based products or materials, developed by CPI). These initiatives highlight her technical expertise and unwavering commitment to advancing sustainable practices in the industry.

Her diverse career spans public authorities, the private sector, and the third sector, providing her with a vast amount of knowledge in project and program management. Dimitra's strategic and results-oriented approach has led to successful stakeholder engagement and high-profile project delivery. She excels in procurement, commissioning services, and resource management, guiding teams to exceptional outcomes.
