Dr Adam Read MBE
Dr Adam Read MBE has spent the last six years at SUEZ recycling and recovery UK leading on government engagement concerning the plethora of UK waste and resource policy reforms, sitting on industry working groups, drafting written consultation responses, submitting calls for evidence and presenting to a host of Government Committees. He has worked on waste management, resource efficiency and the circular economy for almost 30 years, as a consultant, client, contractor, academic and engagement specialist. Adam is a regular conference speaker and facilitator, a technical report author and a frequent blogger and social media enthusiast. He is a Fellow of the CIWM, the RSA, IOM3 and the Royal Geographical Society and was the CIWM ‘s 105th President when he championed the opportunities for green skills delivery in our sector as part of decarbonising the UK. He now sits on the Government’s Green Jobs Delivery Group and chairs CIWM’s green skills working group where he hopes to attract new talent to our transitioning sector.
