Dr Ann Stevenson

Ann is the circular economy lead at Resource Futures focussed on supporting organisations to deliver the transition to a circular economy. Over the last three decades circular economy expert Dr Ann Stevenson has designed, led and delivered waste minimisation and circular economy projects and programmes with businesses, the public sector and third sector organisations. She brings expertise and practical knowledge of business responses to the circular economy and is an expert in understanding risks associated with changing environmental practices. Ann’s PhD studies looked into the perceptions of risk for manufacturing businesses in transitioning to a circular economy and she uses this expertise to deliver a range of circular economy implementation planning and support programmes in complex industrial sectors. Ann has worked with Alupro over the last few years to design and deliver the evidence base for establishing roadmaps of action for aerosols and foil that maximise their circularity potential taking account of technological, political, regulatory and social challenges and opportunities.
As a trainer for IChemE, Ann is an accomplished speaker; she is regularly asked to present at sector events, has written a chapter in a book for the Royal Society of Chemistry and was recently invited onto the Circular Economy podcast to share her expertise.
