Karen leads NHBC’s team of Geotechnical and Geo-Environmental Engineers who specialise in managing technical risks for clients seeking to remediate or reclaim sites for residential development. Her team also assists developers, investors, and funders in ensuring that their projects meet NHBC standards for land quality.

With over 30 years of experience, Karen has focused on brownfield redevelopment for residential markets and has been a Steering Committee Member for technical publications related to ground gases and VOCs, including BS8485:2018 and Ciria publications C735, C682, and C766.

NHBC is a trusted partner to its clients, providing warranty and insurance for new homes and supporting the development of high-quality homes through Land Quality services, quality assurance, Building Control, training, and long-term asset protection.
