Laura-Jane Strachan is a geologist by training. Her career began in the Oil and Gas Industry, specialising in the identification of solid and fluid induced mechanisms causing formation damage using electron microscopy. Laura-Jane joined the James Hutton Institute in 2011 as an Electron Microscopist, further developing her Scanning Electron Microscopy expertise within new industries.
