Benfleet Scrap Co is a family run business, serving the recycling industry for in excess of 40 years. Incorporated in 1996, our strong reputation has grown along with our business. Benfleet Scrap Co is in addition to the two yards already owned and trading by the Leeman family. In 2002 Benfleet Scrap purchased Laindon Metals, extending the non ferrous arm of the metal business.

In 2006 we added the waste transfer side to our licence at Benfleet.

In 2012 we took the Thurrock Depot into the fold

In 2013 we opened our new Basildon Depot.

Our Depots provide over 3000 tonnes of ferrous and 15,000 tonnes of non ferrous annually for the use in manufacturing new products.
