Mark has worked in environmental research and education for nearly 25 years and has written and introduced new environmental courses, under- and post-graduate degrees, and apprenticeships. In his role at CIEEM, Mark helps to promote the highest standards of practice for the benefit of nature and society, and does his best to ensure that ecology and environmental management is a rewarding and inclusive sector to work in. Mark is a Council Member of the British Society of Soil Science, a Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner with the Society for Ecological Restoration, and he is a judge for this year's Land-based and Environment Learner Awards. He’s passionate about improving access to education and rewarding careers in ecology and environmental management.
