Martin Trigg-Knight has been an industry involved compliance specialist for over 10 years. His involvement in regulatory and policy affairs led him to become Chair of the Packaging Scheme Forum from 2021-23. His current work balances liaising with DEFRA, The Environment Agency, and HMRC, and representing the interests and concerns of both producers and reprocessors. In recent years, he has sat on various government advisory bodies, including the Industry Working Group on Plastic Packaging Tax and the Covid 19 Industry Advisory Group. Martin’s work on several parts of the value chain give him a holisitic understanding of the UK’s recycling system and the challenges it faces in transition to EPR.
