Michael is a distinguished Sustainable Development leader and Managing Director of Waste to Wonder Worldwide, a multi-award-winning social enterprise recognized as the largest ethical reuse company of its kind in Europe. Born in Australia and residing in the UK for over two decades, Michael has spearheaded initiatives that annually divert over 2,500 tons of office furniture and equipment from waste, achieving better than carbon-neutral results through maximizing charitable reuse.

Under Michael's passionate leadership, Waste to Wonder Worldwide has significantly expanded its global impact. The certified social enterprise works with some of the world’s largest corporations, such as IBM, HSBC, Citibank, Shell, Ericsson, CBRE, and Apleona, to manage the ethical and charitable reuse of surplus office assets. This process not only supports environmental sustainability but also equips over 1,400 schools in 40 countries, helping to uplift young people from extreme poverty in some of the world's most disadvantaged communities.

Michael’s efforts have seen his company’s service fulfil 16 of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A respected speaker on Sustainable Development and Social Impact Procurement, he has shared his insights at prestigious platforms including The Workplace Event NEC, Facilities Show London, IWFM Impact Awards, a COP28 Fringe Event in Dubai, IFMA World Workplace Europe in Rotterdam, the Manufacturing Show at the Manchester Arena and the Emirates Green Building Council Annual Congress.

Waste to Wonder Worldwide has been honoured with numerous accolades, including the Green Apple and Green Apple Champion of Champions awards, the International Impact Social Enterprise of the Year award, and a Gold in the Sustainable Development category of the Green World Awards presented in São Paulo, Brazil. Additionally, Michael has been recognized for his leadership and impact in the field by being selected for inclusion in the Workplace Leaders TOP50 class of 2024.

To date, the company has donated nearly £40 million worth of equipment to a variety of remarkable charities worldwide, impacting critical areas such as education, healthcare, safe water provision, and primate rescue. Michael Amos continues to be a pivotal figure in advancing sustainable practices and social responsibility on a global scale.
