Neil has worked on technology development for the past 25 years, including novel metallic 3D printing processes for aerospace and Formula 1, micro-generation wind-turbine creation and the Internet of Things revolution. As disparate as these topics superficially appear, they all rely on a detailed understanding of how technology can be evolved to tackle challenging real-world problems. Director of New Technology Services at SDS for the past 6 years, Neil has focused on the development of smart, interconnected control systems to tackle flooding, drought and climate related challenges, with a view to protect and manage life’s most precious natural resource.
