Wayne Bagnall
I’m a Chartered Safety Engineer operating a specialist asbestos and demolition safety consultancy and engineering company; Wayne Bagnall Ltd provides expertise, advice, training, and support to ensure safe and cost-effective projects.
In the 1970’s I studied Chemistry & Biochemistry for five years and continued my education in management and safety as a Member of the Chartered Institute of Management (MCMI), a Certificate of Professional Competence in transport safety, a qualified Demolition Engineer (Hon-FIDE), Chartered Fellow of Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH). In 2000 I was awarded a master’s degree in construction (Health & Safety) management at John Moores University Liverpool.
I worked in the family business in Asbestos Removal and Demolition as a Director of Bagnall Group Ltd, managed major projects, improving asbestos and demolition health & safety in the business being the 1st in our industry to gain ‘BS5750 quality standard’ and ‘Investors in People’.
In 1997 I was awarded an MBE for ‘Services to the Building Industry’ and in 1999 set up Wayne Bagnall Ltd, authored and delivered national guidance for the HSE, CITB, IDE and British Standards Institute and considered by my peers to be a leading authority in this field, see also www.waynebagnall.co.uk
